The Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC) and the Seminar Committee and Research & Development Cell, Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung jointly organized a one-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 06 May at Conference Hall, FAC.
The resource persons for the FDP were Prof. Dipak Sinha, Prof. of Chemistry, NU, Prof. C. R. Deb, Prof. of Botany, NU and Prof. Somenath Bhattacharjee, Prof. of Anthropology, NU, Lumami.
While giving the keynote address, Bendangsenla, IQAC Coordinator, stated that research innovations are fundamental since the quality of an institution is measured by the contributions of the faculty. She said that it is important to keep updating one’s knowledge and skill and such FDP helps in sharing expertise and experiences and keeping oneself updated with latest policies and regulations.
In the first technical session. Prof. Dipak Sinha, Prof. of Chemistry, enriched the faculty on “API Placement.” He presented the various categories of placement and how to prepare oneself for the various levels of placements. 
In the second session, Prof. Somenath Bhattacharjee, Prof. of Anthropology, spoke on the “Research project writing” with the Arts faculty while Prof. C. R. Deb, Prof. of Botany engaged with the science faculty on the same topic. 
Prof. Somenath Bhattacharjee, enlightened the faculty with the various types of research and the various research projects funding agencies and guided the faculty through the process of writing a research proposal, how to submit online and offline projects.
Earlier in the programme, Dr. I Wati Imchen, Principal, FAC gave the welcome address while L.S. Vinod Kumar, Vice-Principal, FAC presented the vote of thanks. Kethosilou Meyase, HoD, Dept. of Economics, gave brief feedback on behalf of faculty at the valedictory session.
